da bet nacional: With 17 match days already gone, Christmas looming and the January transfer window just around the corner, we’re now almost at the exact midpoint of the 2016/17 Premier League campaign.
da betsul: Accordingly, some reflection is in order – so earlier this week, we asked Manchester United fans to vote for their Player of the Season so far in FootballFanCast’s exclusive poll.
Having utilised 24 players in the Premier League already this season, Jose Mourinho’s certainly given the supporters plenty to choose from, although not every Red Devils star has quite lived up to their billing this term.
Well, the results are now in and we are ready to reveal the Man United fans’ Player of the Season so far, alongside the two runners up.
You’ll have to click through to the final page to find out the winner, but we can tell you now world-record signing Paul Pogba didn’t make the top three!
3. Antonio Valencia
A somewhat unsung choice in third place, Manchester United’s squad may contain more star-studded names but the fans have certainly appreciated Antonio Valencia’s contributions this season. Not everybody was convinced when the former winger first appeared at right-back but the transition has bore fruit this term, with Valencia Jose Mourinho’s first choice at No.2 and justifying it with a series of strong performances. He’s averaged an impressive 2.6 tackles, 1.9 interceptions, 1.1 created chances and 1.7 successful dribbles per match.

2. Zlatan Ibrahimovic
The Swedish summer signing was always going to be somewhere in the top three.
Doubts were certainly raised over whether a 35-year-old striker could perform in the Premier League after four campaigns in the distinctly non-competitive French top flight, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic has shown why he’s brought league titles to every club he’s played for, netting eleven times already this season. If United are to stage an unlikely comeback in this season’s title race, the iconic front-man will play a crucial role.
1. Ander Herrera
Most would expect world-record signing Paul Pogba to take first place in our poll, but it’s his industrious midfield partner Ander Herrera who earns the moniker of the fans’ Player of the Season so far.
In fairness, whilst the Frenchman has gradually eased back into life in Manchester, Herrera has been arguably the Red Devils’ most consistent performer, linking up the play in midfield, working tirelessly off the ball (not least including eleven tackles single-handed against Liverpool) and contributing two assists in 14 Premier League appearances.
