If you’re knocking about the streets of West Yorkshire today, keep an eye out for a very particular piece of artwork.Leeds United celebrated their 100 years in October. You may have caught the likes of Jermaine Beckford, Vinnie Jones, Liam Cooper, Robbie Keane, chairman Andrea Radrizzani, Tony Yeboah, Luciano Becchio and Lucas Radebe all suited up, as well as an appearance from current coach Marcelo Bielsa, who donned an evening classic – his Leeds tracksuit. In honour of the club’s centenary, an artist has taken to the streets with buckets of blue, white and yellow paint. Their creation – an absolutely gargantuan Leeds crest (because, why not?).Looking to be in the latter stages of its construction, an update of the work was posted to Twitter by a keen observer…
While we’re sure they’re just as much Leeds fans as the artist responsible, let’s hope the homeowner isn’t going to come back from holiday blissfully unaware of the fact one of their walls has been used as a giant canvas.
