Ezgjan “Gjanni” Alioski scored the winner for Leeds on Saturday, but fans are still split on the Macedonian international.
Leeds finally got their third win under Paul Heckingbottom on Saturday, and it came against the ex-Barnsley man’s former club.
Barnsley travelled to Elland Road desperate for a result, but fell behind early courtesy of a lovely goal from youngster Tom Pearce.
The visitors soon answered back through an own goal, but Alioski’s second half winner secured all three points for Leeds.
Alioksi has shown flashes of brilliance since his move to Elland Road, and has managed to grab seven league goals and five assists, but some fans are still unconvinced by the 26 year-old.
His work rate is unquestionable, but his inconsistencies have annoyed some fans.
That said, others are defending the Macedonian international due to his fight and passion, which should of course be a prerequisite to play at any top level club.
