Tottenham attacker Rafael van der Vaart has hinted that he may quit the London club to move back to the Netherlands.
The forward has been a success at White Hart Lane over the last two seasons, and still has two years left on his contract with Harry Redknapp’s men.
Van der Vaart left Ajax when he was 25, playing for Hamburg in Germany and Spanish giants Real Madrid, and has now stated that he may be tempted to move back to his homeland and the Eredivisie in the future.
“I see it as an obligation to play football once again in the Netherlands,” he told Voetbal International, translated to English by Mirror Football.
“I have a feeling I have to give something back to the Eredivisie, for what it has meant to me,” he admitted.
